Leadership Team
Greg Orscheln
In 1982, Greg founded Midwest Express and Greg Orscheln Transportation. For 25
years he successfully navigated the companies through countless competitive
market conditions. Today, Greg remains active in industry organizations such
as NASTC (National Association of Small Trucking Companies) and KMCA (Kansas
Motor Carriers Association).
Ted Glickley
Ted served as Controller for both Midwest Express and Orscheln
Transportation in the early 1990’s and has maintained a professional
connection with Greg Orscheln since that time. After Ted left the companies
he began his own CPA practice. When he sold his practice, he became an
owner and Vice President of Finance and Operations for a payroll service
bureau based in Kansas City that experienced rapid growth for the next
nine years. After the sale of the company, he and Jeff Johnson created
Scout Logistics in June 2007.
Jeff Johnson
Jeff began his supply chain sales career while spending almost
10 years with Ruan Transportation Management Systems. The Ruan
companies invested not only sales and management training in
its people but also a deep and committed education in formal
quality and statistical process control. In the late 1990s Jeff
joined Wagner Industries of Kansas City, eventually becoming
VP of Sales and Marketing for the company that provides warehousing,
packaging, and transportation services to companies across the US. In
June of 2007 he left Wagner to form Scout Logistics with Ted Glickley.
Teamwork
In 2007, Greg, Ted, and Jeff brought Scout Logistics together with
Midwest Express and Orscheln. The combined companies are the best of both
worlds; a proven and dependable supply chain team with a 25 year history
of serving the needs of its customers, equipped with the technology and
processes that will enable it to thrive for many years to come.
